This movie by Ryan Murphy starring Julia Roberts needs no introduction. This is a classic movie in the yoga community that inspired thousands of people to make a pilgrimage over to India and Bali to deepen their spiritual practice and introspect.

The movie is based on Elizabeth Gilbert's spiritual memoir and her story of personal transformation through yoga and meditation, which came out in 2007 before books on yoga, meditation, Eastern philosophy, and enlightenment became mainstream.

Roberts' heroine had everything a modern woman could dream of - a husband, a house, a successful career - yet she found herself lost and searching for what she really wanted in life. After a painful divorce, she decides to go on a round-the-world journey to "find herself", risking everything to change her life. In her self-discovery travels, she finds the true pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy; the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of true love in Bali.

7. Tidying Up With Marie Kondo (2019) & Sparking Joy With Marie Kondo (2021)

When it comes to decluttering your mind, decluttering your space is essential. In this series of inspiring home makeovers, Japanese best-selling author and world-renowned tidying and organizing expert Marie Kondo describes a simple method to declutter your life, clear out your spaces and choose joy.

Our favorite lessons we learned from Mary Kondo:

Greet your space and cleanse your home's energy! Whether it is a new space or her own place Mari holds a quick intuitive meditation session to greet the house. She fills her house with the sounds of turning fork, the healing vibrations of this musical instrument are often used in Sound Bath meditations. We see incenses, candles, amethyst crystals - attributes that are traditionally used in the meditation community and have a centuries-long history.

Express gratitude. It starts with small basic things and grows progressively. She thought us to give thanks to anything that we want to let go of whether it's something tangible and small or untangible and full of meaning and emotions. We love gratitude rituals and practices as they transform the way we think, show us a bigger picture, and allow us to find positive moments in everything in life. We use different interpretations of it in our Meditation Retreat and Journaling Challenge.

Cleaning is meditation itself! Ever caught your mind wondering places when cleaning your house? Yes! Us too! Cleaning is not just removing dirt, it helps people to achieve a state of mindfulness and self-awareness.
